School-Age Care
Meeting Waters YMCA is the region's largest provider of state-licensed school-age child care. In combination, our Y-ASPIRE and camp programs provide year-round "out-of-school" care for youth and their working parents, including school vacations, teacher in-service days, most holidays, on snow days, and during the summer break. Read more about each program by clicking the links to the left.
All of our School-Age Care programs focus on developing the "40 assets" proven to support academic, social, physical and emotional well-being. They actively engage young people's spirits, minds and bodies each and every day.
"Family Connection" activities in each of our School-Age Care programs extend skills and supports to the entire family of our participants.
All of our School-Age Care programs are licensed with the states of Vermont and New Hampshire as school-age child care programs. This not only ensures that the staff, curriculum, risk-management practices and facilities have met stringent criteria, it also makes all parents eligible for state Child Care Financial Assistance in both VT and NH (based on where the family lives, not where the program takes place).
