We regret that we are currently unable to offer the Snow Day Program. We do not have enough staff who live locally to be able to provide this service. Please check back as we are considering other options.

While children who attend schools outside of the Brattleboro School District are welcome to participate, please note that the program at either site can only run on days when Windham Southeast Supervisory Union schools are closed.

We offer several forms of Financial Assistance.

The "Snow Day Program" was developed in 2001 by the Meeting Waters YMCA. The impetus came from a forum hosted by the Brattleboro Area Chamber of Commerce and Windham Child Care Association during which local employers shared that attendance at work drops on Snow Days because many parents need to stay home with their children. With the support of the administrators of the Brattleboro School District, the Meeting Waters YMCA was able to respond with another vital service.
